El Güis hostel

The hosts are SO kind, leading with a ‘my home is your home’ attitude. Our room was cleaned every day, breakfast was great value for money, the gardens around the room were lovely. The rooms are super basic, but the value, hosts, tranquility and beauty of this home stay made it a truly wonderful place to spend 4 nights.

This is a great place to stay. Our host was really sweet. She helped organised all our activities and made sure we had everything we needed, including lovely ice tea when we arrived after a hot day of travelling. Great location and hostal is a nice chill vibe. Lots of chill space and kitchen is useful. Would definitely recommend!

It was in a good position to explore the island, was in walking distance of very good restaurants The host Odelba was so friendly and helpful with everything

The place was really relaxed; rooms were clean, Odelba emptied the bin everyday and made the bed which we really appreciated! There was a mosquito net around the bed and Odelba was super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We really liked the hammock area and met some other like-minded travellers there in an authentic way. Thank you Odelba!

Quite a few mosquitoes in the bathroom, but that’s to be expected.

Perfect stay in Ometepe! The owners really just let us feel like home! They help us with everything we ask also to plan the next days around Nicaragua and I definitely recommend the breakfast because is simply delicious! Was a pleasure to stay there

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were helpful & patient while I spoke spanish. The rooms were basic, out door area was very relaxing with lots of hammocks & seats surrounded by nature. The kitchen was well equipped. For the price we were very happy with this place.
