Lisbon Belém Guesthouse

We had a wonderful time in this guesthouse. The location couldn’t be better. There are several sightseeing spots just around the corner and it takes only around 25 minutes to reach the city centre by bus/tram/train. I attended a congress at Lisbon’s Congress Center, which was also very easy to access from here. We stayed in Room 2 (the upper room) which shares the kitchen with Room 1. Everything was very clean and the kitchen has everything for the essential needs. There is also a Nespresso Coffee machine (but you have to bring the capsules yourself). Our room had a little balcony which faced the park side- very nice! Even though there are a lot of restaurants on that side we weren’t disturbed by any noises or smells. Hugo, the housekeeper, is available via WhatsApp and was very helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here and felt really „at home“. Room 2 is very big and has two single and one double bed and an own bathroom (the beds are veeeery comfortable and we could sleep very well). There is an AC for cooling down the room on hot days. By the way: The famous „Pastéis de Belém“ is just a 2-minute-walk away. We would also recommend having a breakfast at „Miolo“. Of course you shouldn’t miss going to the Monastery, Torré de Belém and the Botanical Garden. You can easily access the Lisboa card for visiting these at the little shop in the park in front of Torre de Belém (better than waiting in a queue at the other „Ask me Lisboa“ spots…:) ). There is a little market on the streetside, but it’s quite expensive. For buying larger supplies you should go to a bigger supermarket.

We weren’t disturbed by any noises but we can imagine that Room 1 heard probably all of our steps as the walls aren’t that thick :).

Location is really nice. There is a park in front of it. It is also very close to the famous "Pasteis de Belem" where we have eaten breakfast every morning. Hospitality was also great.

Take care of your head in the bathroom, ceiling is pretty low in some parts.

Amazing location in Belém, a few minutes away from the Jeronimos Monastery. Nice view over the square. We were there on the 3rd Sunday of the month, so experienced first hand the horse parade from our window (apartment 2). Very clean, well equipped. Apartment 2 is on the upper floor and shares a kitchen and dining area on the lower floor, with apartment 1.

So handy to all of Belém’s attractions.

The bathroom was very smelly and needs some ventilation. The family room upstairs is also your roof so the kids were very noisy! Issue with checking in but was sorted with phonecall.
