Privada Lodge - Historic Hotel

Charming hotel in the heart of the town overlooking the market. This old building full of history has been renovated beautifully with a lot of taste and thought. Every corner has a story and we felt very at home here! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, would highly recommend.

Alex the owner was very helpful and friendly and the accommodation, breakfast and roof top bar were great. the hotel was in the heart of the town and full of life. I would recommend other to stay here for a great stay and experience. Tres Bien!

Full of charm and character just like Alex the owner

The hotel is in the middle of Krati, so you are immersed in Cambodian life and can watch the market and daily life evolve around you. It comes alive at 6.15, so you wake to the sounds of the day starting again (we loved it, but if you are not a morning person, perhaps it's not for you). The rooms are huge, with large, very comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a powerful shower. Nice smelling shower gel/shampoo provided free is a nice touch, as is the free tea, coffee, and water. We travelled with 2 disabled young adults, and nothing seemed to faze the staff who were kind and accepting of their quirks. The rooftop BBQ is probably the best food in Krati as everything is fresh from the market. The rooftop vibe is very pleasant, and you get to enjoy the company of your fellow travellers. Alex arranged a dolphin tour for us with lunch included, which was delicious. We got our laundry all up to date, and it was very reasonably priced. The hotel is full of amazing vintage treasures with a cool, comfortable lounge area and great art. Alex is a warm and chilled out host. Merci Alex pour une tres agreeable sejour.

Alex the owner is sound so friendly and welcoming. Rooftop bar is brill and at night is very magical. Breakfast also good. The lounge is boss full of old fashioned gadgets and history, very special.

Fascinating location in the heart of Kratie, with a bird's eye view of all the action at the central market from the terraces and roof top. Beautifully renovated heritage building with large, clean rooms equipped with modern bathrooms ,excellent hot showers, comfortable beds, air con & very good wifi. Roof top restaurant & bar with great views, excellent food, music & atmosphere. Lots of good local travel advice available, along with bicycles, bus tickets and a laundry service. Staff are all very welcoming, kind and efficient and make this a relaxing place to stay.

Best to take eye mask and ear plugs if you're used to quiet and dark bedroom. I slept amazingly well!
