Privada Lodge - Historic Hotel

The property is an old buiding from the 1950’s (I think) recently turned into a hotel. The owner / host made a point to keep everything as close to the original as possible, allowing you to travel back in time. The decor is really nice, showcasing local artists and artesans, the rooftop is great, everyone was super helpful when I wanted to book travel & tours, have laundry done etc. There is a real attention to ecology, creating as little waste as possible. The location in the heart of the market and just 2 mins away from the riverside is also very convenient. Thank you again Alex for making my stay in Kratié so memorable!

Privada Lodge is well placed traditionally styled accommodation. It is clean, comfortable, and has a historic feel.

Great location very friendly staff If your looking for the cambodian experience look no further. Situated in the middle of the market square it's 2 mins walk to the bars and restaurants on the front through the bustling market. . We had a great stay here. Thanks mark & gretel

Just a real special place, something out of the mainstream

Absolutely loved this charming hotel. Amazing staff. Alex was exceptional with his attention to detail and advice about Kratie. Rooftop patio offered stunning view of sunset. Common areas were tastefully decorated with treasured pieces with stories to tell. The room itself was exceptionally spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The shower was lovely. The hotel is located in a very central area. Easy to walk around the city and explore the market. Bikes were readily available and in very good shape. All in all would highly recommend this hotel. Definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Kratie!

Nothing

This was the most expensive of our accommodation over our month stay in Cambodia. Only four rooms in an old Lodge overlooking the market. Renovations have retained the old walls, tiling etc. which was taken to the extreme in the entrance and stairs which did give a poor impression on entering. However the room itself was very spacious with a good shower and air conditioning and fan. The view over the market was entertaining although it does start early and there is an aroma from the area where rubbish is left at the end of the night. The bed was comfortable and a bottle of water provided each day. Would have liked a bigger fridge where ice could be made. However we enjoyed our stay, communication was good throughout and Alex sorted out our ongoing travel.

Awesome and friendly staff, reasonably priced, very beautifully renovated and decorated, centrally located near local market, great breakfasts and dinners.

Nothing really

The dinner of BBQ ribs was excellent. The food was generally good. I thought the breakfast could have had more selection such as fresh juice and not from a box. This is a very unique iconic property.

The noise level in the room is not good. Definitely need earplugs to sleep. No hot water in the bathroom sink. In the shower yes, but not in the sink.

Wonderful hotel / guesthouse with a lot of charm and exceptionally kind staff. The location is perfect to explore the town. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of style and character - one can tell a lot of thought was put into designing them beautifully.

The rooftop food menu is a bit limited, could probably include more bar snacks and veggie options.
