It was really beautiful. A really nice mix between modern and traditional. The room was lovely and so comfortable. The staff were also really lovely.

Incredible location, far enough from the buzzing Osaka city landscape, but close enough and easily accessible through the HK tramline. The hosts were amazing, foreign friendly and always trying to accommodate my every need. I was very happy to have opted for the breakfast included option, it was the best thing I have started my days with in a long time: delicious, nutritious and healthy. The room was everything I have hoped for and more. It was my first time experiencing sleeping in a futon on tatami and it was so worth it. Loved it so much! The simplicity used in the room arrangement and decoration is a plus, both aesthetic and practical. I promised myself to come back to Sakai and Sakainoma in my next trip to Japan! I wish I can elevate my Japanese knowledge till next time so I can interact more with the hosts and maybe participate to the events they hold in the cafe area. The music and atmosphere I experienced during my stay proved once again that Japanese people really know how to have fun and spend quality time in the company of true art and beauty.

10-15 min walk to station. Fairly convenient.

It does not really look like the pictures. Hence did not match our expectations. Much older property but bathroom & toilets are renovated. Futon is rather “flat”. The cafe is not open regularly.

Very beautiful room, great garden view. The restaurant attached is open for the expected 3 mealtimes. Food was super good and worth going to also.

Filthy, rundown and not safe! This property should not even be listed in Booking. Not sure who the people or BOTs posting excellent reviews of this place. It’s nothing like in the pictures. Filthy, broken doors and questionable characters in the area! Could not even fit luggage to get to room. Size of a storage room with black tatamis damaged walls and doors, futons took over the entire room and no space to move around, sleeping next to toilet, heavy smoking in the vicinity filtered into room!

Beautiful traditional Japanese room with garden view. Exactly like in pictures. Clean facilities, it was all very spacious. The neighbourhood had some good bars and restaurants.

Location was bit far from everything. I wish they offered bike rentals to make it easy.

Very traditional guest house. Tatami room and futon. Fantastic breakfasts.

A very quiet area, but a short train ride from the much livelier Namba and Sinsaibashi areas of Osaka.
