Guesthouse Mari is so special. I was able to check in early and when I was shown to my room I was blown away - a beautiful view of the river which was so relaxing to listen to at night. The room was comfortable and perfectly located at the end of the city, right next to a fabulous restaurant, shops nearby and the cinema across the street which is definitely worth a visit. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Finding it was a little confusing - but like everyone in Mestia, they're only too pleased to help you out. I asked at the restaurant and they pointed me in the right direction.

Location is right at the main street but rooms/balconies overlook the river on the other side which is great. The room/bathroom was clean and simple. The balcony is a really nice feature (you really hear the river even when doors closed). Washing machine and kitchen facilities are a plus. Heating works well.

The communal outdoor seating area on the pictures doesn't really exist. It is being used by the restaurant staff and local youth who seem to be living in the adjacent rooms. At the time of our visit it was pre-season and there were construction works going on. It didn't bother us too much though.

Location is perfect, host is friendly. My check in was late but the owner is still awake and waiting for me. Thanks.
