In the middle of town

Unfriendly staff, nasty toilet and shower with no doors or anything to cover. Many small stairs up to the room. And bad smell.

The property was close to where we wanted to be

The property was very obviously a private house converted into tourist accommodation done very badly . Our door could barely close. The 'en suite' bathroom was literally separated from the bedroom with a piece of cloth . The windows could not close . It was dirty . We arrived for check in at allocated time , the room was not ready and we had to wait almost an hour. When we finally got our room , it seems the air conditioning wasn't working , the main reason we booked the room . The reason given was the the AC remote didn't have a battery . No effort was made to get one . We then demanded they try sort the situation as my partner was suffering with heatstroke . We left to go find a cool place whilst they fix the problem . On return , nothing had been done. We then asked for our money back as we wanted to find another place . The owner refused to give full refund and only have 60% claiming that we had spent two hours on the property and therefore had to pay. He also refused to give me a receipt and when i complained to booking.com he claimed we were a ' no show' and had to cancel the booking

Lack of Cleanliness, many insects came inside the washroom, one washroom didn't even have a door
