"Exceeded my expectations."

Had an excellent time at The Old Forge and Julie was absolutely lovely. The garden is beautiful, as is the building. Breakfast was good, too, though I only had a light one once.

I don't think there was anything that I didn't like.

Hostess is lovely and the hotel is ideally placed for visiting our son.

Size of room. Bathroom could do with a shelf or somewhere to put toiletries.

The Forge was nice and central. Breakfast excellent served in pretty conservatory looking out over the garden, Julie was very attentive. The bed was very comfortable and our balcony a bonus.

Seems petty but we couldn't get the tap under the sink tap to fill it or fill it from the bath without getting in due to the fixed shower screen!!!! The shower jet wasn't very strong while the pressure in the basin taps was very good. We were only there 2 nights and should have done more investigating before we arrived as both restaurants fully booked. However the pub and bistro were good.
