Sehrish Guest House Skardu

Very nice guest house with a beautiful garden and very good decoration, Staff so friendly and cooperative organized for me some tours to Skardu famous sightseeing places , and their food is tasty and it’s price is good, it was totally safe for me as a female solo traveler to stay there, highly recommend this guest house.

Staying here was a breath of fresh air. The homey feeling from the family running the place helped made my solo trip more memorable. Father and son Akhtar and Azhar were very friendly, they even helped me buy a shalwar khameez and have it tailored. The mom was also nice to me. Lastly, Azhar was always responsive over WhatsApp. All facilities worked as expected. I had a good sleep amid my busy travel schedule.

i liked the environment, the room was comfortable and there was a beatiful garden where we could have breakfast and sometimes dinner. it’s a family run business. Azhar (the manager) answered all my quedtions before my arrival and arranged all my transportation while I was there. Mazhar, the brother, was our driver there and he’s a funny there…We could have breakfast and sometimes dinner for a very good price. wifi connection is good.

It's a family run guest house. One could almost feel like home while staying there. The rooms are neat and clean and the owners are very friendly. It is located at walking distance from the main bazaar.

Fantastic little oasis in the middle of Skardu, Sherish Guest House is a gem in itself Add to that the friendliness and care you get from Akhtar and his sons and you're in for an experience above the rest. Breakfast is cooked every day at your appointed time with fresh omelet, jam and toast. The team picks you up and drops you off at the airport as well as taking you anywhere you want, or point you in the right direction if you want to go by yourself. I've learned since that Akhtar means "star" and that's really what this place is. A star.

WiFi connection could have been better. (Then again that's a general problem in the area and got nothing to do with the guesthouse). ;-)

Warm welcome from the Guest House team. Friendly family environment. Helpful recommendations for excursions and arrangement of cars and drivers was very convenient, including airport transfers. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well kept. Hot running water was good. Overall, we really liked the Sehrish Guest House. Here are a few areas of feedback to consider: - A mini-fridge in rooms for storing cold drinks would be useful. - Control measures for flies in the garden e.g. pedestal fans or screen nets - made it difficult to sit outside and eat. - A wall or pedestal fan in the lounge adjoining bedrooms for comfort, plus a coffee table and more seating as this is where we used to eat some meals due to flies outside.

- Some fellow guests were quite noisy in the garden outside our ground floor rooms in the late evening (even after 11pm and we'd expect hosts to manage this discreetly by closing the garden at a reasonable time - say 10pm. - Quality of bedding - pillows, sheets and blankets - could be better. - Towel service was only one towel to a double room for a three night stay - would expect two bath towels per double room, with towels changed regularly. - Cars hired for excursions were not cleaned, inside and outside. Aircon was not working. Drivers should be given clear standards on personal and vehicle cleanliness when arriving to collect customers.

Great guest house. The place is nice and the people in the house is very helpful and they will try to solve any issue you may have. Very recommended.
