LA88 Bayview Rooms

I absolutely loved my stay at this wonderful location. The apartment had everything I needed, and was very clean. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe, also at night the streets surrounding it are well lit and there are always some people here and there. The room has a lock as well as the front door. Also it is very well connected with the public transport, and I personally really loved a morning or evening walk to the ferry through the beautiful streets of Sliema.

Lokacija je odlicna, blizu centra i prevoza i gradske plaze. Mada je ulica izuzetno strma koja vodi do centra. Izabrala sam dvokrevetnu sobu sa bracnim lezajem i terasom. U kuhinji je bilo sve sto je potrebno.Dobra komunikacija sa osobom zaduzenom za smestaj. Cisto i uredno

S obzirom da sam bila sama, velicina sobe mi je odgovarala ali izuzetno mala za dve osobe. Krevet je bio jako neudoban, na nekim mestima se osecaju zice, a jastuci su uzas. Ima Tv ali nema tv kanala. U sobi samo jedna stolica! Na terasi nista osim susaca vesa, a pogled na razriseni zid. U kupatilu nista osim sapuna.

The common area facilities were good, especially the kitchen and laundry. The accommodation is well located and reasonably priced.

It is a shame that the experience of accommodation in a decent area with decent facilities for a reasonable price is completely undermined by the rude and unprofessional hosts. We had a overwhelmingly bad experience and would not recommend staying. Firstly, When arriving at the building, there is a concerning smell of mould in the foyer that seems to have been around for YEARS based on previous reviews of the property. However, our biggest issues with this property was with the hosts, who were poor at communicating, rude, and would often ignore questions or requests. Our requests for our room advertised as a twin/double room to be made into a twin were completely ignored by the host. Instead of the advertised "bay view" of our room, we had a view of an ugly decaying building facade. On our second night at this accommodation, we had our keys to the accommodation stolen, along with one of our phones. The host refused to provide a receipt of the locksmith before we paid and requested an amount of 120 euros (which we paid). The host then failed to provide the receipt after payment for a couple of days. She also withheld the initial damage deposit of 50 euros for a couple of days. Two or three days after check out, she then claimed that we had broken a single slat underneath the mattress of our bed (that we do not believe we caused) and used this to keep the deposit. We noticed that a previous guest complained about a broken slat in the same room in 2024, leading us to believe that it was never repaired properly. She claimed that repairs to this bed would typically cost upwards of 200 euros (for a single piece of wood?), but because we protested, she would only charge the 50 euros damage deposit. We would be happy to pay for damages that we caused, but when we asked for photographs of the broken wood, and receipts of the repair costs, she refused and sent rude, spiteful messages before completely ghosting us and refusing to cooperate with booking.com.

La cucina essendo in comune non era molto pulita ma non è stato troppo un problema perché abbiamo mangiato spesso fuori casa
