The Captain's Lodge Room Only accommodation

The property was clean and the host was nice and accommodating. Good tea/coffee on the landing to help yourself. Good location.

We were on the top floor /loft so the stairs were hard work, the bathroom has no radiator so it’s freezing in there. Also you can hear the other guests like theyre in your room with you theyre that close together.

It felt rather old and dated, and upon arrival our room smelt as if someone had just used the toilet, so the windows were instantly opened. The coffee area didn't have any lighting above it, so you had to turn the main light on, which isn't ideal if your partner is still sleeping. It just felt like a B&B back in the 90s, a little tired and needing a good clean.

Attic room no8 too cold. Radiators not on when needed.only put on when complained.turned off too soon and not on early enough . The lightning had the feeling of the proverbial 40 watt bulb hanging from the middle of the room nice shade but the light not bright enough.2 bedside lamps one working properly the other tulip bulb flickering dimly. The room very clean but let down by heating and lighting

I had a wonderful stay, my room was overlooking a pretty church, it was well-heated, and in a good location to get to the beach or the town centre by foot. Also nice tea with biscuits provided.

My room only had a bath without a shower head, so to wash a bath was the only option. The bathroom was well-equipped and the bathtub big and clean, but for someone who likes showers more it would be a negative.

The tv didn't work, but I wasn't too bothered as I brought a book

Nice and clean. Room lovely. Near to everything. 2nd time we have stopped here. Will be back again.
