"Enjoyable."

It’s accessibility to the town centre.

The kitchen could have had a few more items like cutlery and plates which would have been useful for take aways which appeared to be acceptable because it was suggested that they were eaten in the front room.

"Tate House is a good place to explore Northumberland from."

Our room was clean and well appointed. The location is great. Alnwick Castle, Gardens and Barter Books all within walking distance. There are cafes and restaurants nearby.

After reading the Room / House guide where you are encouraged to eat takeaways at the dining table in the communal sitting room there is no crockery or cutlery in the kitchen to help facilitate this which is a shame.

"Wonderful place to stay."

The room was spotlessly clean and the room was refreshed during our stay. The location was perfect, with lots of info on where we could get breakfast/meals, and having somewhere to park the car was invaluable. We did pop over to pay our parking fee (a couple of pints!), and had a lovely time at the Plough. There's a keypad to get into the property and then a door key for the room so it is safe and secure. Will definitely be staying there again next time we visit Alnwick.

Beautiful room (No.2) which was spotlessly clean, a handy parking arrangement and well located for the town centre, Castle & Gardens. Highly recommended.

"Great place for a short stay"

Lovely big comfortable room. We had room 3 with separate rooms for bedroom, bathroom, and “snug” (seating area) with a small balcony. We appreciated having the fridge & kettle, etc. Perfect location for exploring Alnwick.

Just a note that there are lots of stairs to get to the room, as well as stairs between each of the 3 areas. Could do with a non-slip mat for the shower.
