A large, beautiful property in delightful gardens. The bedroom was spacious, opulent and spotless. Breakfast was 1st class. The hosts couldn’t have been more hospitable and recommended great places in the area to see. Outstanding.

We had an amazing stay. Probably the best B & B we have stayed in. Perfect friendly hosts who welcomed us like friends and a great breakfast. Definately stay again.

"It was like finding a hidden gem."

Excellent breakfast. Freshly prepared bowl of fruit each day followed by various choices. Where a preference was not already available then our hosts offered to provide this if possible.

I would have loved an evening meal as I feel sure this would have been excellent as our host was an excellent cook and baker.

Lovely breakfast - cooked to order. The extra berries on day two were a real treat.

Bit more more choice eg pastries for breakfast would have been ideal

We loved our stay at west acre house, janette and Bruce are absolutely delightful hosts, so warm and welcoming. The bedrooms are spotless, bed comfortable and lots of hot water and rooms are toasty and warm. The gardens are immaculate and Alnwick is in within walking distance, all fabulous.

So the only I would have liked is a bit more choice for vegetarians at breakfast, maybe porridge and hash browns and baked beans, but it’s a small observation in an otherwise 5 star stay

"Superb stay at West Acre and Alnwick"

West Acre is a beautiful house in a wonderful setting. The gardens are delightful. The bedroom was charming and well appointed with everything for a comfortable stay. Bruce and Jeanette are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. Breakfast was excellent with great quality local produce. A special mention to Bruce. West Acre is situated a short walk from Alnwick and just a pleasant drive away from other Northumberland attractions. We look forward to returning to West Acre in the future Andrea & Peter
