Beautiful setting and attention to detail in decor and amenities. Bathroom is exceptional! Friendly and helpful host. Very quiet location.

The outdoor looking shower. Location. Quaintness. Comfortable bed. Good cooking facilities. Well stocked. Good size. Lovely host.

Not a lot. Internet a bit intermittent and therefore the tv kept cutting out.

Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Absolutely nothing

This property is located in a beautiful peaceful setting with bush and water trickling into a stream right in front of you, and yet only about 2k from the township. Quite unique.

Everything

We loved our stay in Chalet Karaka. It was comfortable, very private and lovely having the trees right outside. Golden Bay is beautiful and Takaka has great places to eat.

The location was great, the shower was awesome. Was lovely and peaceful and so nice having piwakawaka's (fantails) flying around. The bed was comfortable and the room nice and clean and had everything we needed. Was good having a BBQ to use. Ngarie was lovely and friendly.

Nice to sit on the deck by the stream in the evening. Cool shower. Very relaxing spot.
