Chalet Karaka

Such a lovely place to stay, so peaceful and relaxing hearing the stream outside. The bed was so comfortable. The coffee was tasty. The shower is beautiful and very unique! Would definitely recommend.

The chalet was quaint, tranquil and unique

The toilet and bathroom were outside but we did get used to it. Did not realise this when I booked.

Gorgeous location, very private and easy self-check in

Loved it here - the cabin was lovely and had all the amenities. Made a nice dinner and breakfast for ourselves. The living space was comfortable, and the netflix worked great to watch an evening movie! Sat outside under the porch with coffee listening to the birds waking up. Had an icy cold dip in the stream followed by a wonderful hot shower. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the bathroom were really special. Our hosts sent us some plunger coffee too which was very much appreciated. Nice quiet spot just on the edge of Takaka village. Easy to get around and to find, and nice for a stroll in the local area. Excellent value for money too!

Beautiful little spot, we arrived late and left early as were hiking, but it was a beautiful spot and we will definitely come back in summer to enjoy longer 😀

The bathroom was not inside off room you had to go outside across the deck

Clean, tidy absolutely amazing shower with a view, very quiet and peaceful,

Was a little cold to begin with but if we had turned the heater on earlier it would of been fine

This was a surprise, it was bucketing down with rain and still so special, the outdoor lighting made it super magical and relaxing, it really was the perfect get away and so many little special home touch’s , loved it and the host was so kind and warm hearted , can’t wait to go back!
