Shangri-lanka Villa

Loved the easy going friendly staff , loved the surroundings, the chef was amazing. Rohan was very helpful the staff were always smiling and very welcoming . The pool was a fabulous temperature and it was so peaceful. Also loved the friendly dogs .

The only thing is the beach was not near , but it was only a short Tuktuk ride and did not cause us any problems

The rooms are very spacious and thoughtfully designed with great attention to detail. The staff is kind and helpful, although you do need to seek them out if you require assistance or if anything is missing. The property features a beautiful garden, and the pool is amazing – a perfect place to relax

The rooms are spacious but could benefit from additional lighting. Our bathroom had an open window without a cover, and part of the ceiling was open to the outside, which unfortunately allowed mosquitoes and cockroaches to enter. There were no mosquito nets in the room, so we ended up with quite a few bites by the time we left. The internet connection is also very weak, making it nearly impossible to access the internet from the room. While the location is beautiful, the listing stated that the beach was an 8-minute walk, but in reality, it takes 20+ minutes to get there. Dining at the property is quite expensive, with prices more in line with high-end hotels. While the food is good, it doesn’t quite match the standard expected at those price points. Overall, the place has potential but needs some improvements to match expectations

It was beautifully laid out and very serene. The room was spacious and maintained well throughout our stay. I loved how friendly and helpful everyone was and also that they offered free tea and coffee and the chance to fill up our water bottles as often as we wanted. The massage treatment was perfect and the groundskeeper really helped us understand the flora and fauna surrounding us.

No serious issues but I think some people may think it is located too far from the beach and other amenities. We were happy to walk 10 -15 mins to the beach but some may find that difficult. Similarly re distance to other restaurants. On the positive side someone was always available to call a tuk tuk when needed.

Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, quiet but not remote, friendly people. Simply fantastic!!! If we're ever again in the area we'll both definitely want to stay here again. HIGHLY recommended!

Can't find anything to fault at this price level (I've been in the hotel business for 20+ years).

The property and the garden are beautiful, the room amazingly big, clean and comfortable, the swimming pool lovely, the dogs adorable and the staff very nice. The location was very convenient, quietly nested in a peaceful lane, less than 20min walk from a wonderful beach. The owner is also a lovely man. It was such a great find! I would come back without any hesitation.

I wish they served real coffee and not Instant coffee, at least as an Add-on option! Breakfast was ok but quite expensive for the quality.

Rohan and staff excellentl, anything you needed sorted asap. The rooms are by far the biggest we have stayed in , in Sri Lanka and this is our 3rd visit. Planning on staying at there sister hotel in yarla on our 4th visit.
