Shangri-lanka Villa

A lovely villa set in a village off the main road. The accommodation was very comfortable. Rohan was an excellent host and ever ready to help out with booking taxis or giving advice. The staff was friendly and attentive. The property has a lovely pool and is just a 10 minute walk from the beach.

Very clean and comfortable A/C room, big bed (every day decorated with fresh flovers), nice staf, excelent swimming pool with sunbeds, bathtub, available relax masages, loundry, restaurant, private tuktuk driver, airport transfer, … whatever you want or need. Perfect services.

The property was very quiet, the whole place was beautiful and well looked after and the staff were lovely and helpful.

Cannot rate my stay highly enough! Rohan went out of his way to ensure my stay was comfortable. And that every need was met. Beautiful rooms, high quality furnishings. Own balcony, enormous bathroom. Hot Tea on tap. Delicious food, extensive menu. Rohan saw I had been scammed at a local Herb and Spice Garden and organised for me to get my money back. And took me to a jewellers where I bought a quality ring at a very competitive price.

Very helpful staff. A lovely peaceful location, very nice pool and grounds. Big bedroom and bathroom and spacious balcony.

Didn't accept cards, paying by cash very inconvenient as cash machine only dispensed in smallish quantities and we had to make 4 separate transactions in order to pay our bill.

Spacious and comfortable accommodation, lovely garden and swimming pool in a rural location a 10/15 minute walk from the beach with delightful staff and altogether an exceptional, charming and well run guesthouse owned and managed by Rohan and Karen. We would definitely return if we come back to Sri Lanka and would have no hesitation in recommending Shangri- Lanka Villa.

I liked absolutely everything at Shangri-Lanka Villa! Beautiful, lush garden with many different plants. Open design of the restaurant made me feel close to nature. I could see many colorful birds, butterflies and even monkeys nearby. Shangri-Lanka is peaceful and quiet with tasteful Sri-lankan-style decorations everywhere. Service was very kind and friendly. Staff (as well as the owner Karen who was around at the same time as us) created a warm and welcoming atmoshere. Happy to have a chat, share personal experiences and give travel advice. The restaurant offers many choices and I really enjoyed my meals. The dishes were freshly prepared and very tasteful. The chef has obviously made an effort to create satisfying meals. Shangri-Lanka also offers massage treatments in a cozy cabana which I appreciated a lot. I had a relaxing full-body oil massage to the jungle sounds of birds, geckos and monkeys. I enjoyed every moment at Shangri-Lanka Villa and I'd be happy to return some day.

A fantastic stay. Great value for money. Lovely surroundings and pool. Also great food.

Highlights have to include the most relaxing massage in the small spa that looks out to a pond, it felt truly serene. At night, the sound of the crickets and flute from nearby temples made it super calming. It was super helpful to have Kaz give us all her top travel tips for not just Bentota but also the whole island.
