Domus Orestea Luxury Suites

We have a lovely time at the Domus Oreste. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are either located in the main house or in an annexe with bedroom and bathroom next to the pool. As such one has the possibility for additional privacy if required. The area is nice and quiet and a very nice restaurant is close by as well as small groceries store.

Access to the street where the property is situated is quite narrow at times, as such a bigger car like a van for 7 to 9 people can be challenging to enter the street.

It has a lot of character and the host is lovely and warm. Good location for exploring beaches and visiting palermo. Easy parking.

We had a poolside room, and were grateful for an upgrade but the villa is a little tired and the room felt stuffy. No hand wash in the room or daily room service. The villa is difficult to get to, amongst small side streets with lots of potholes.

Beautiful premises, comfortable, tastefully decorated and cosy room in private house, yet with privacy. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Extra charge from the owner for late check-in due to delayed flight is relatively expensive. There was no coffee-tea maker in the room.

Our stay at Domus Orestea was amazing! Marco and Monica were exceptional hosts who did everything possible to make our stay perfect. Marco's recommendations for places to visit and places to eat made our holiday even better and ensured we saw the best of Mondello and Palermo. Vincenzo's breakfasts were lovely and catered to our needs each morning - our daughter loved his omlettes made with local cheese. The Villa itself is beautiful and, for us, in a perfect and peaceful location. We had a car so getting into town from the villa was easy - The beautiful Mondello beach is a five minute drive away. We had a lovely poolside room and despite not having the best weather, waking up to the views and surroundings was amazing. We'd like to once again thank our amazing hosts!

We wanted to take a last vacation for three before the birth of our daughter and came across this accommodation while searching. We were welcomed and looked after with the greatest warmth. The host Marko exceeded all expectations and was always on hand with help and advice when it came to excursions or other activities. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

Internet was intermittent. During our stay it would happen that the owners would not be present when we were in need of some help and also when we left the property. WhatsApp was available to contact the owners, however the response times of a few hours didn’t help to satisfy our needs.

Very friendly personnel, very service minded, luxurious rooms, with a nice personal touch from the owners.

Monica’s house-the hotel - is spacious, beautiful, and full of art. The large swimming pool, in a nice garden, was very important to us. Marco gave us a great welcome and orientation and was available every day to give us direction with enthusiasm and good humor. Vincenzo was kind and very professional in his service.

The hotel seems in an isolated neighborhood, but there are a surprising number of excellent - and friendly restaurants within ten minutes walk. And Mondelo beach isn’t so much further.

Marco was an amazing host who gave us a warm welcome on arrival and lots of useful information on the surrounding area. Mondello beach is lovely and in walking distance, with lovely restaurants (Marco can give recommendations). A great base if you have a car to explore Palermo, Cefalu (lovely beaches), Erice (beautiful hilltop castle town by cablecar), Segesta (ancient temple), and several other places.

Streets can be very narrow near the property - might be good to rent a smaller car if you're driving.

This is a lovely property in a suburban enclave. Our room was detached from the main house, with a terrace and overlooking the swimming pool. Marco was a charming host, always willing to chat and give suggestions. The beach is a 30 minute walk away. There are numerous good quality restaurants within walking distance.

There is no fridge or tea or coffee facilities in the room although tea facilities were provided when requested. Breakfast is not included in the (already fairly high) rate but is available for an additional €15 each per day. Access is down a pretty narrow road which could be an issue for larger vehicles. Could do with a new toilet brush.
