Our stay with friends was unforgettable. The area is charming and very well maintained, with a perfect balance of comfort and nature. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, always making us feel at home. Breakfasts were varied, fresh, and adapted to everyone’s tastes. A truly delightful experience!

Thank you, Marco and Monica, for making our stay so special. From the warm late-night welcome with drinks to the beautifully prepared rooms, everything was perfect. We loved the variety of accommodation – the retro ensuite room upstairs with its Vespa was a hit with the girls, while our ground floor ensuite with pool access was ideal. Breakfast was always a delight, with fresh local produce and a true taste of Sicily. Monica even baked three fabulous Sicilian-inspired cakes during our stay – each one a highlight in its own right (and proof that calories definitely don’t count on holiday!). Marco, your passion for your country and your guidance made our visit even more memorable. Your advice certainly added to our stay – from recommendations on where to eat and shop, to the equally important advice on where not to! Even practical tips, like the reminder that white parking spaces are for residents only, proved invaluable – and saved us the fate of a friend back home who learned the hard way when his hire car disappeared. Standout trips included the ancient hilltop city of Erice, Cefalù, Palermo city centre, the boat trip to Favignana, and Giardino Garibaldi in Palermo – a natural wonder of ancient fig trees. Your suggestions truly made the difference. Dinner recommendations we loved: • Ristorante Villa Antigone – Grandfather, Father & Son working together to create a beautiful meal. • Franco Ristorante Pizzeria – more than pizza, offering a wonderful meal and first-class pizza. • Il Forno di Viviani Maria – a bakery that is a true Sicilian oasis of treats. • Pastory (Palermo) – third-generation sfoglina, with super staff and exceptional food. • Osteria Mangia e Bevi (Piazza Marina, Palermo) – a beautiful Sicilian restaurant in a stunning part of the city. A special thank you also for the care and first aid when I managed to cut my toe on a trip to the beach. Not quite the Sicilian souvenir I had in mind, but your help was very much appreciated!

We liked it all - We are fortunate to travel alot and have never been back to the same place - but we might break our own rules for Marco & Monica.
