Wonderful quiet location wake up everyday to beautiful bird song. The hosts were lovely and kind good breakfast and a lovely break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Couldn’t recommend it more we had a wonderful stay.

My biggest highlight of rock pool is the hospitality, as well as it's proximity (2 minute walk) to a deeply quiet beach. I was allowed to check in early and they welcomed me with a plate of home made new years sweets. The host is very kind and has a precocious 5 year old son (I found him cute but be aware he has a lot of energy). The room I had is the second floor room. It's recently renovated and spacious, though note there is no a/c and the wifi doesn't work in the room but it does work in the main building porch. As others have mentioned, breakfast (extra charge) is delicious and came with the biggest pot of tea I've ever had to myself. Try the Sri Lankan breakfast with string hoppers, coconut chutney, eggs and fresh fruit.

I did the turtle watch but I would confirm with him the price before. It was 4000 rupees and I also had to pay an admission fee when I got there. So ask him the price and if it includes all costs before going.

Byli jsme týden a bylo to parádní. Chatička čistá, prostorná s posezením. Majitel byl velice příjemný a vyšel nám ve všem vstříc. Na pláž to bylo 5 minut pěšky.

This guesthouse is situated just a short walk away from the beach. We enjoyed staying in a wooden cabana ("one bedroom chalet"), which was new and is perfect for a romantic time. It was spacious, clean and well maintained. Hot water and wifi were available and reliable. The area is very peaceful and quiet - perfect for a relaxing stay.

Amazing authentic Srilankan breakfast

It’s somewhat secluded from the main city, and getting around can be tricky since Uber isn’t always reliable at certain times. However, it’s close to a quiet, tucked-away beach, so if you’re looking for a peaceful, laid-back escape away from the crowds, this is a great choice.

The staff was super friendly and welcomy, I felt very welcomed since the very first beginning, they are ready to make jokes and to let them understand with hands and feet!! These people had the spirit for having fun and party and they gave to me a last night in Tangalle (and also in Sri Lanka) that I cannot forget, with much laughs and good mood and vibes!! Just be open with them!! And all this only a few minutes away from seaside, beach, a ayurvedic massage centre and the place where the big turtles arrive during the season for their eggings!!

The quality of the door and the lock of my room was very poor and I had many times doubts if the door was closed. The quality of the controll of the controll cameras is not the best, my camera for example could not been reached - we checked together. Even if the place could be safe, please keep your own important belongings, documents and money with you. If you do this, then you will really enjoy the place!!
