AOTERA GUEST HOUSE

Wir hatten 5 wunderschöne Tage in diesem Guest House. Der neue Besitzer ist sehr freundlich zuvorkommend und kümmert sich hervorragend um seine Gäste. Wir hatten einen Bungalow direkt am Meer, Südsee wie man es sich als Europäer vorstellt. Schnorcheln am Riff war einfach fantastisch! Das Essen hervorragend gut und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Trop loin de la civilisation.

Juste un petit filé d'eau au lavabo et la douche et pas d'eau chaude. A 45 mn en bateau ( pas de route) de civilisation sachant qu'on ne peut pas faire autrement le propriétaire propose des menus et des boissons à des prix d'un 5 étoiles. Le meilleur est le prix de la bouteille de champagne je m'en souviendrai longtemps Établissement à ne pas choisir

Loved the seclusion. The staff were all so welcoming and easy to get along with. The b&b was in an idealistic spot to recharge your batteries and connect with nature.

Mosquitoes and the ‘nonos’ so lather up very well to protect yourself.

Le cadre est magnifique, c’est une perle à l’état brut ! Nos hôtes étaient au petit soins pour remédier au moustiques très présent, le lieu de vie est très agréable, Le choix pour cette pension doit se faire avec l’envie d’isolement. Il faut compter 30 minutes de bateau pour rejoindre la ville un vrai plaisir quand le temps est clément. Il faut s’organiser avec les résidents pour limiter les déplacements. Prévoir les provisions perso pour les régimes alimentaires spéciaux, il n’y a pas de commerce au lodge. Le petit déjeuner est copieux tout comme les dîner préparé par le capitaine ( aussi un vrai chez cuisto 👌😁) Merci à « BoB et Le Capitaine Joseph » 😉 pour leur Acceuil et leur sincérité. 🌺 Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce côté « koh lanta »

⚠️ Strong Warning – Do NOT Stay at AOTERA Lodge ⚠️ My experience at this lodge was shocking and dangerous. I strongly advise against booking here. • Fraud on the First Night: Instead of staying at AOTERA Lodge as advertised, I was placed in a small, dirty hotel on the main island where the toilet was broken and there were cockroaches. That hotel costs around €30, but I was charged €114 – simply because AOTERA Lodge was overbooked. I only found this out later. (I was told I couldn’t come to the main lodge because the boat had already left, but that makes no sense as the boat is a privately run boat by the owner himself and my plane was not late at all… ) see pictures of the dirty hotel attached • Life-Threatening Incident with the Captain: When I finally arrived at AOTERA Lodge, I needed the hotel’s boat to get to the main island. The boat left very late, and when I asked if they could call my tour operator (I had booked and paid an excursion with a diving company and was anxious to lose my money) , the captain completely lost control. He was clearly drunk, shouted at me, threatened me. Meanwhile the motor of the old boat was broken and I was alone in heigh waves in a broken boat with an aggressive funk man who shouted at me. I was alone in the boat and feared for my life. Out of fear, I jumped into the water and swam to an island. On my way back through a very wild island full of thorn bushes that destroyed my legs , the captain repeatedly followed me, shouted at me, and showed me his knife from a distance. I had to hide in the bushes for hours. I later reported this incident to the police in Rangiroa. • Unacceptable Refund Policy: After this terrifying experience, I demanded to leave immediately. At first, the owner refused to refund me. In the end, he gave me €200 back but insisted on keeping the rest as supposed “booking.com fees.” 👉 Conclusion: This place is not only dishonest but also dangerous.

Si on veut être coupé du monde, cet établissement est parfait! Le cadre est magnifique, et en quelques minutes à pied, on se croirait sur une île déserte! Attention, il faut prendre un bateau pour rejoindre la partie principale de l'île Rangiroa. Les gens sont assez arrangeants, mais il faut quand même le prévoir, et c'est 30 min de bateau. Logement sans grand confort (pas d'eau chaude) et propreté limite. Les bungalows ne ferment pas à clé, mais ça n'a pas posé de problème vu que nous sommes loin de tout! Repas copieux, pas toujours du local mais du fait maison et certains jours, du poisson pêché par le capitaine le matin même!
