Villa Wirnica Lake Como

Amazing building with a history, perfectly decorated. Amazing stuff, very warm welcome. Really nice atmosphere, not like a hotel but like home.

It looked more chic and new on the photos, then in real life. Just a little bit. And also breakfast was nice, but wanted more variety.

Beautiful grounds and pool. All the interior elegance of times gone by with antique furnishings and lovely period interior. A real haven. Hosts very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay

Our private bathroom was not actually part of our room (Il Convento). You had to go into the hallway and through another door to it. The owners had put a screen up to help privacy but we would rather have known that before booking. We did ask for bathrobes which we were given without hesitation, but anyone wanting full privacy would find this a real issue and we felt should be explained to potential bookers. Another slight negative was the fact that the air conditioning was actually a portable unit where the hose needed to go out of the window which meant the window needed to be open to use it. Otherwise the room was very comfortable

The host was incredibly welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. The pool was fantastic and the property itself was idyllic. Our room was so spacious and clean and had everything that we needed. Breakfast was delicious with cooked options and some continental options including pastries - all homemade. The owners couldn’t do enough for us and even dropped us to the station on check out. Thank you so much! They were always helping us out with choosing a restaurant or what to do with our day.

Nothing to comment here as the property has been in the family for over 400 years so naturally some facilities are limited than a more modernised property. However this just added to the authenticity of the property.

The location was excellent - not too busy but we were able to easily access lots of nearby towns and villages by train/car. The building and grounds were maintained to the highest standards and the breakfast was varied and of a very good quality. The hosts , in particular, were very helpful suggesting places to visit and restaurants to eat at, even booking for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

It is a very beautiful place and the owners and Chan make you feel very welcome.

There is only one negative thing to mention and that is the noise of the near by cars.

Beautiful property and the staff/owners are so friendly and helpful. It is the perfect little getaway and super relaxing. Their breakfast is the perfect start to the day.
