"Perfect in every way. 10/10"

Location was in a lovey area. Bryan the owner was lovely, very pleasant and helpful. English Breakfast 10/10. Facilities perfect, comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend, and we would definitely stay there again.

"A great option in Bakewell!"

I think the Avenue is an excellent option for those staying in Bakewell. The room was spacious and the bathroom was excellent, including the option of a rainforest shower. The hotel is very centrally-located and is just a couple of minutes' walk from local shops, restaurants, and the Co-Op supermarket. There are a lot of very good options for breakfast, even for vegetarians and vegans.

"A very comfortable 3 night stay"

our stay at the Avenue House was very enjoyable, communication, even as I was travelling, was excellent. Location was perfect, a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bakewell and a bus practically opposite the property to Haddon Hall which is well worth a visit. Our hosts were very attentive, everywhere was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and the small problems that arose were promptly resolved to our complete satisfaction. I had three very good nights’ sleep on a very comfortable bed. Potential visitors need to be aware of three flights of very steep stairs to get to rooms 5,6 and 7, but, that apart, I would thoroughly recommend The Avenue House.

"Disappointing not worth £150 per night not value for money"

Location

No Staff available. shower tap broken, Macerator noise from our loo and others during night/morning. Sockets not accessible, loo seat + other. Owners need to stay in room to experience problems.

"Weekend escape"

Located within 5 minutes walk of Bakewell centre this property is welcoming and extremely comfortable. The owners were on hand for any queries and after mentioning casually at breakfast that our room was warm we arrived back to find a large floor fan had been left for us. Good quality bedding & towels, fab shower & comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious served in a lovely informal dining room that encouraged chats with fellow guests. Staff were friendly and very helpful. 100% recommend and looking forward to returning.
