The Richmond Café and Rooms

Warm and informative welcome by very friendly staff. Secure on-site parking. Both the dinner and breakfast were excellentltly prepared and tasty karoo meals. The bedroom was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable with crisp linen and an electric blanket, which we used for pre-heating! The bathroom en-suite had a large walk-in shower with very good water heat and pressure. The property is historic, quirky and full of interesting details. Do not be put off by the approach to Richmond centre or the outside appearance of this property .. you would miss out on a delightful experience!

Nothing to fault with the property itself, but Richmond is very much a tale of two cities. Much of downtown Richmond is dilapidated and dingy, but the area at the northern end has been very tastefully restored, and we believe that crime rates are very low

Friendly reception. Rooms are spacious. Everything you need. Firm mattress, electric blanket, aircon. Great shower. Vehicle was covered at night. Dinner was fantastic.

Absolutely everything .This is our third time staying and it never disappoints.Such a beautiful spot.The owner pays attention to tiny details that make the stay super relaxing. Don't miss out on super especially Lamb Curry and the starter.A true Karoo experience.

That we couldn't stay longer

Thoughtful attention to detail, we had everything we needed and more. Clean, warm and very comfortable. Delicious dinner on arrival and gorgeous little shop to stock up on gifts and warm things.
