Higher Barton Guest room

The attention to detail in providing what a regular traveller needs was spot on.

WiFi signal a bit iffy, leaving the laptop on the windowsill doesn't work it needs to be in the room.

I found the bedroom a comfortable place to stay, complete with microwave and fridge plus kitchen items, and the en suite bathroom with bath and shower ideal for my needs. The room was on the ground floor which suited me perfectly. The mattress and bedding were comfortable and I slept well. Higher Barton is a quiet location and parking adjacent to the property. In summary, an excellent property, with a friendly host and good value for money.

I have no adverse or negative comments.

Lovely room, very clean and tidy, the location was beautiful, and Barbara was a very friendly and attentive host. Would definitely book again!

I was welcomed as I got there by this wonderful lady.it was clean and very cool inside bathroom was clean tidy and shower was marvellous as it was 32 degrees outside 😀

The only fault was no small tv which I think would of been a little more comfort rather than staring at my fone but thats just me

One of the best sleeps I've had recently. The bed was warm and comfortable and the room dark and quiet. There's a surprising amount of amenities (including a fridge and a microwave) considering it's a small, single bed guest room. Excellent value for money! The surrounding town surprised me with how pretty it was. I stayed here to cut a long drive in half and now wish I'd stayed longer.

The only downside is the slow internet but I can't imagine there's much to be done about that considering the location and age of the house (thick walls). I took it as a sign I should read a book instead and had a lovely time!

The guest room itself is very quaint and homely, just the right thing a weary traveller needs after a long day. The bed was very comfortable and I was very pleased with the facilities available. Deborah the host was extremely accommodating and I am very pleased with the diligence to making this guest room as comfortable a stay as possible.

There were only a couple of small problems which are not really the hosts fault. The guest WiFi sometimes struggles to reach the guest room itself due to the thick walls but that's of course out of anyone's control and another thing that would make the experience 100% perfect would be having the window fixed so that you can let some more air in. But I assume that's a problem already being looked at.

A peaceful location, comfortable for a solo traveller. Basic catering facilities came in useful. Due to circumstances beyond the control of the owner the regular heating did not work, but every effort was made to provide alternative facilities. Parking on nearby quiet roadside.

The old farmhouse has very thick walls and we were unable to get a wi-fi signal, although the owner's family did try. Take note if it is important to you there is no TV.

room was lovely , beautifully decorated,. ample facilities, very comfy bed and nice quality linen.

the wifi code wouldnt except, even though i tryed several times. The house is very hard to find especially in the dark, its easy to drive right by it.. also host didnt know of my arrival so took 15 mins to rally her via a dog
