The owner is unpredictable. One Moment He is apathetic and can switch quickly to rude and threatening

A terrible experience... I rented a scooter for 2 days with a friend of mine at this guesthouse. Apparently we could only use the scooter for a few hours per day. We were not told this in advance. When we wanted to talk to the host about this, the woman could not speak English and it was not possible with Google translate. Later her son sat on the chair in front of my door calling my name. At first he talked to me in a normal way, but when I wanted to give my opinion calmly he started talking over me and started to change the subject. He also suddenly started touching me near my belly button (which has a piercing). I found this very inappropriate. Especially because I travel alone as a girl. I then asked a friend of mine, since he also rented a scooter there and had the same problem. We remained calm throughout the conversation, but the host suddenly became angry with us because, according to him, we had argued with his mother and that we had intimidated her. While this was absolutely not the case. We were polite and calm to everyone on staff the entire time. The host then started swearing at me and shouting over us, making it impossible to have a decent conversation. I have never experienced this while traveling. Due to this unpleasant experience, I definitely do not recommend this guesthouse!

They gave us our money back.

We booked a superior room with a balcony towards the lake. We booked the room when there was still other hotels available in the island. We came very tired all way from Berastagi. When we arrived in there our room was given to someone else and they wanted to gives us an interior room, cheaper and with no view or balcony. Very bad experience. Their lack of organization and responsability made us have to search for another hotel and having to pay 10x more for a room the same kind as we initially booked with them.
