The staff were very kind. The room had a desk and a sofa, making for a comfortable stay. スタッフがとても親切でした。 部屋にはデスクとソファもあり、快適に過ごせました。

I felt the price was a bit high. I was bothered by the dirtiness of the wet areas. 少し値段が高いと感じました。 水回りは汚れが気になりました。

Historically significant mansion, originally owned by the famous Assamese writer Birinchi Kumar 1908 to 1964. The rooms are elegant and furnished with flair. There are high ceilings and several common rooms, a living room, dining room, and hallway. This is spacious, comfortable, and uplifting. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is in the historic downtown of Guwahati. Meals are home cooked and available for extra payment. There’s also a common refrigerator and kettle in the rooms. The rooms are big enough for 2 including beds and a sitting area, a bathroom and plenty of storage for clothes and personal items. I enjoyed my stay a great deal an didn’t want to leave.

It’s an older house so the electrical wires and lights and general upkeep seem to need some repairs and renovations. This would uplevel the experience.

Baruah Bhavan is a great base for a short stay in Guwahati. The owners were helpful, courteous, and made everything easy with check-in. The location is well suited for exploring the city, with good access to key sights and neighbourhoods

Nice old furniture, but rundown.

The owner of this property did some awful things.

The location was great and the staff were very polite and nice. We arrived early and they allowed us an early check in for a small fee. Also appreciate the breakfast. Simple but healthy.

The cleanliness could be improved. It is cleaned superficially but the place requires a deep clean. There was a lot of dust behind tables and bed. The property is old but some net doors would help with the mosquitoes which is a big problem in all of Guwahati.

We were made very welcome and included. This was a genuine homestay in a cherished house with homely decor and furnishings and with excellent communication with our host. We we were always offered tea when arriving or returning from an excursion. We were given good advice on places to visit and also when we needed medical attention. Breakfasts were very good and filling. The location is good too - there are quite a few decent restaurants nearby. It was good to have an afternoon tea with other guests too.
