Betty is an incredible host, now our favorite place to stay in Kingston. She went above and beyond during the hurricane.

Betty is the best.

The beautiful garden that Betty created is a magical haven with hummingbirds and a stunning orchid variety. Betty was the perfect host who intuitively attended to all our needs. The place was clean and comfortable and location was great. We would highly recommend and would love to return someday.

Betty was very accommodating, considering we arrived late in the night well after the reservation opened. Samantha was also very attentive and pleasant. She assisted us with as and when needed, which was useful. The fruits served for breakfast each morning was a great added touch.

There was some works being done next door which was quite distracting as far as the noise but everything else was great.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Orchid Cottage, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Betty, our gracious host, made us feel like family. Her warmth and welcoming spirit were evident as she greeted us with a genuine smile and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Betty took the time to check on us frequently, offering invaluable information and insightful advice about the beautiful island of Jamaica. Her recommendations for local attractions and dining were spot on, enhancing our experience significantly. The breakfast at Orchid Cottage was a true highlight. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious and authentic Jamaican breakfast that showcased the rich flavors of the local cuisine. The variety and quality of the food were exceptional, setting a wonderful tone for the day. The accommodations were equally impressive. Our room was spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day out. The attention to detail throughout the cottage is evident, contributing to a delightful and serene atmosphere. One of the standout features of Orchid Cottage is the stunning display of orchids that adorn the property, truly living up to its name. The vibrant colors and fragrances of these exquisite flowers create an enchanting ambiance, especially in the outdoor gardens. The gardens themselves are a peaceful oasis and are perfect for leisurely strolls or simply enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning sun. The location in Kingston is also ideal, offering easy access to the city’s rich cultural offerings while still providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. The staff at Orchid Cottage were equally lovely, reflecting the same kindness and dedication that Betty exudes. Their attentive service and friendly demeanor added to the welcoming atmosphere of the cottage. Overall, my stay at Orchid Cottage was nothing short of magical.

It would have been perfect if Bella, Betty’s beautiful dog returned to the UK with us. Unfortunately his loyalty to Betty left no room for negotiation 😉

Liebe Betty, Du hast in Kingston wirklich ein wahres Juwel geschaffen! Dies war mit Abstand der schönste Aufenthalt, den wir jemals weltweit hatten – und das will bei unseren vielen Reisen etwas heißen. Für alle anderen: Das Apartment liegt hinter einem Wohnhaus in einer der nobelsten Gegenden von Kingston. Überall findet man wunderschöne Orchideen, denn Betty ist eine leidenschaftliche Orchideenliebhaberin. Zahlreiche Vögel fliegen umher, darunter sogar einige Kolibris – ein kleines Paradies für Naturliebhaber! Betty verwöhnt ihre Gäste auf wunderbare Weise. Zum Frühstück gab es jeden Tag frisches Obst, ein Omelett mit gebratener Banane und Kaffee. Sie bringt sogar frisches Eis und weitere Leckereien. Es fühlt sich wirklich so an, als käme man abends nach Hause – so herzlich und liebevoll ist alles gestaltet. Der Mosaik-Pool lädt dazu ein, abends zu entspannen und die Ruhe zu genießen. Vor dem Haus gibt es ein großes Tor, hinter dem man sicher parken kann. Die Stadt erreicht man in etwa 30 Minuten, die Kaffeeplantagen in den Blue Mountains in ca. 40 Minuten, und der Flughafen ist etwa 45 Minuten entfernt. Ein Aufenthalt bei Betty ist einfach unvergesslich – wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können es jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Super découverte! La propriétaire, Betty, est absolument charmante et tres professionnelle. Passionnée de plantes, elle nous a fait découvrir son magnifique jardin et n a pas hésité a partager sa passion avec nous. Elle a rendu notre séjour exceptionnel sur Kingston. Tous les jours elle avait une gentillesse attention pour nous. D autre part notre cottage comportait absolument tout pour etre parfaitement bien. La piscine etait un vrai plus. Nous en avons bien profité. La végétation du jardin isole la propriété de la ville. C est tres agréable. Le quartier est top et proche de tout. Bref nous envisageons de revenir! Et bisou à Bella la petite chienne de la maison qui était la partie trop mignonne de ce séjour.
