"Beautiful views on the quiet end of Narigama beach"

9.0

Absolute perfect setting on the quiet end of the beach in Hikkaduwa. The balcony had a stunning view and we loved hearing the crashing waves as we went to sleep. The room had a ceiling fan and good a/c. The included breakfast was basic but okay (eggs, juice, toast, coffee/tea). We would have loved some fresh local fruit to go along with it. It’s about a 20 minute walk down the beach to the main area for restaurants, bars, coffee shops, surfing, etc. If you want to hear nothing but the sound of the waves, this is the place for you.

"Passable"

5.0

We are adults that booked a double room 22 meters with a garden view. The room that we were shown was small and did not have 15 meters. Luckily, we could upgrade + an additional fee. The upgraded room stinks of sewerage, the shower taps are all clogged, the bedding is unpleasant, there is no coffee set in the room like Others hoteles in Sri Lanka and we did not even receive a bottle of water. In addition, the noise of the waves is loud and it is impossible to sleep, and The breakfast is poor. We are traveling for two weeks in Sri Lanka and so far we have been impressed that the Sri Lankans are good service providers until we got here.

Free beds outside to get some rest at the beach, tasty food. Laundry service.

We experienced a power cut during our stay — while this was obviously outside the hotel’s control, it’s worth noting that other nearby hotels had generators, whereas this one did not. Given the price point, I expected better contingency measures. The outage lasted quite a while, so it was definitely noticeable. The food was good, but keep in mind that a 10% service charge is automatically added, and all payments must be made in cash, which can be inconvenient if you’re not prepared. Also, the hotel is located quite far from the main restaurant area, so it’s important to consider transportation or dining plans in advance when booking.

"Nice simple place"

7.0

The staff are lovely. The location is great, in a quieter part of the beach. Bed was comfortable. Room was large. Aircon was really good. Breakfast was simple but good.

The water pressure in the shower was pretty weak. They don't take credit cards, so had to pay in cash. You get quite a bit of noise from the road, so would suggest asking for a beach facing room.

"Best homemade food, right at the beach and warm welcome"

9.0

this is right at the beach and warm, cosy vibe. Samiths mother is such a warm welcoming person and the best cook ever! the seer fish with mango- tomata papaya salad was excellent!

its 2 km from the center but you can make a beautiful walk via the beach to the town.
