Ich bin dort seit vielen Jahren Gast und bringe dort auch immer wieder Gäste unter. Eine Oase der Ruhe im quierligen Bodnath. Tolles Personal, alles sauber, super Essen . Unschlagbarer Preis.

Da gibt es gar nichts !

The staff in the café remembered me from my prior visit, which was very nice. Also, once I took my sunglasses off and they saw I had a black eye. They were very concerned. Also, very nice when you’re far away from home (I’m fine. I tripped over a dog!)

Kitchen staff is a bit loud cleaning up at night. It ends early, not a problem.

The overall atmosphere was good and all staffs were really friendly and had open communications. Although the location of the Guest house was a little complicated, the staff supported us to book the taxi.

Although the overall experience in ROKPA Guest House was wonderful, there are some levels of improvements in the rooms. Firstly, the location and where the outlet is positioned were very inconvenient as well as the fact that the extension code was broken. Secondly, the room only had a shampoo and nothing else. I feel like the amenities in the rooms could you be improved.

ROKPA Guest House is a quiet oasis in the middle of vibrant Kathmandu – the location could not be better. From some of the rooms you look directly onto a large monastery; when I stayed there in April 2026, there was a big ceremony going on and I could watch the scene from my window. The proximity to Boudhanath Stupa is also incredible; you can walk there in just a few minutes and then retreat again into the peaceful atmosphere of the guest house. Inside, there is a quiet courtyard where you can sit, read, or simply rest, completely away from the noise of the city. The staff are very warm and respectful, and the rooms are in very good condition. What makes ROKPA Guest House truly special is that your stay directly supports a social project: the house belongs to a non-profit organization that finances children’s homes, schools, food and support for poor and vulnerable people, and some of the young people also work there as part of their vocational training. For me, it was the perfect place to end my Nepal journey, and I was very happy with my choice. I fully recommend ROKPA Guest House – especially if you want a few days of real peace and quiet while still being right in the cultural heart of Kathmandu.
