Unique artsy property. Very comfortable inside! Host, Ingrid is very friendly and accommodating - enjoyed our convo. Great area for funky photos and stargazing!

The burrs outside are rough but inevitable if you walk around, try to stick to the gravel area and you might avoid the worst of it. Just be prepared to take your shoes off when you get inside your abode so you don’t spread them around. If you book the pet friendly property, make sure to bring pet shoes for your pup!

The Stone Cottage is an eclectic property. I liked the wall art (local artist), the comfortable bed and lovely views.

"The Best Place to Stay in Marathon!"

totally loved everything! Location - just 40-minute drive from Big Bend! Also, it was close to the community grocery store and some coffee shops! What we love is the peacefulness of the place. Stone House - I love that La Loma is very pet-friendly. My furbaby and I had a very comfortable stay at the stone house. AC were working well, and it has everything we need! The property - my dog loves walking outside every morning and every afternoon. He was free to roam around, sniff, and chase hare! He really enjoyed it. I also love that in the property, you have a very good view of both the sunset and the sunrise!! At night, you enjoy the sound of the owl and other nocturnal creatures, and you also get to enjoy the skies. The staff - Genevieve was awesome! She met us when we arrived and gave us house tour! Thanks for the hospitality! I only booked for 1 night but ended up extending! That’s how wonderful the experience was!! ✨😊

Very cool, nontraditional and sustainable cottages/ units. Ingrid was very communicative and the unit I stayed in had a full kitchenette, wifi, A/C and a comfortable bed. Loved being out in the middle of nowhere and at this quirky community of unique units. Dog friendly, too!

It was a one-of-a-kind structure in a cool tiny town. Ingrid shared much of her building and design processes and it was fascinating!
