Coconut Grove - Midigama

I only stayed for one night, but I loved the view from the balcony overlooking the lush green garden. So beautiful. I could sit there for hours. The place is nicely tucked away from the main road and therefore quiet, but only a very short walk from the beach and restaurants. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The shower had warm water. It was a nice detail that there was a booklet in the room with recommendations for sightseeing and attractions nearby and some information about how they recycle the trash. I think it's great that they make the effort to recycle and try to be a good example for the community , for that reason alone it's already worth supporting them.

It was all verry clean. The room was big and quite. The family is friendly and the kitchen was nice :)

We had an amazing stay at Coconut Grove. The garden keeps you always close to nature, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff hospitality made our days there even better. We will surely return!

The room is good. Hosts are very friendly.

Bathroom needs some renovation to meet the same level as the bedroom. Keep in mind that the accommodation is very close to the train tracks which means you hear and feel the trains also at night.

The place is tucked behind the main coastal road (about 4 mins) and you have to go what seems to be in the jungle to arrive. The family hosting are lovely, very helpful in answering any questions and booking cars/tuktuks etc. The room I stayed in looked new - it was large and decorated beautifully.

They only accepted cash unfortunately, which I didn't know when I booked, and probably not ideal for those staying for longer periods. It's situated just behind the train tracks so some may find this a bit disturbing, but honestly it's really not bad. I actually found it very charming :)

We loved the balcony overlooking the garden, especially in the morning to see all the wildlife. We spotted monkeys, mongoose and birds most mornings. The room was spacious and AC was good.

Just worth mentioning the stairs to the upper floor and the terrace hasnt got any railings and would be unsafe for young kids.

Very friendly hosting with big rooms and a large green area around.
