Coconut Grove - Midigama

Beautiful property set in an absolute oasis of a location. Yes, it’s near the train tracks and you will hear trains bit that’s Midigama and you soon get used to it. Manjala, Danika & their family are absolute gems and made us feel so welcome. I honestly can’t recommend this place highly enough! It’s a great location only a 2 minute walk to several restaurants and Ram’s surf break. 10 minute walk to Coconuts and Plantations surf breaks and 5 mins to Lazy Left.

Loved this place! The room was great, clean and comfortable. Beautiful garden view from the terrace! They family is so sweet and welcoming and I felt very much safe and at home. Cute dogs and great location. All my recommendations to coconut grove.

We really enjoyed our stay in coconut grove and even extended our stay. The familie is really nice and they help you with everything you need. The room and also bathroom are spacious and do not smell humid. The bed is big and comfy. If you want you can rent their scooter, or have coffee or breakfast on your own little terrace. In the garden you can see monkeys almost all the time. Also it is a short walk to the beach. Rams and lazy left are in walking distance to surf. Internetconnection was not the best, but I think it is a general problem in sri lanka. Anyway, 100% recommend this place.

Great location if you are looking for a more quiet place to stay. Away from the main road, but still very close to the surfing beaches of Midigama and the restaurants (5 minutes walking), I originally booked two nights but ended up staying over a week. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The family who own the property were amazing! Super friendly and helpful. One of the daughters is also a talented tattoo artist and has her studio at the property. Thankyou!

Sometimes a bit noisy during the night with the train, dogs barking and Party happening. But nothing too bad!
