Staying at Lynster House was not just a lovely comfortable & generous bed for the night, was a whole experience where you leave thinking Monaghan is absolutely the real deal. Elizabeth says (like most hosts) ‘ask for anything’ but unlike most you really sense that she absolutely means it. Pretty sure you won’t get better hospitality - or entertainment, anywhere else in the province.

A slight difficulty finding the location

We loved everything about lynster house. The warm and friendly welcome from Elizabeth and Sharon. The beautiful house, its gardens, and all the fabulous artwork. How kind Elizabeth was to run us into the restaurant, her recommendation of the fantastic Monaghan Spice indian. Elizabeth contacted a taxi driver for us who collected us from the Indian and then again from the theatre. On return, Elizabeth made us tea in the green room and provided water, etc. Our breakfast was perfect, two full fries and one vegetarian. It was healthy and fresh, and the coffee was exquisite. Elizabeth's homemade wheaten bread is worth travelling for! Our stay, the venue, hospitality and food were all 5 star experiences. I can't thank you enough, Elizabeth. We will definitely be back. Your love of Monaghan and music shines through and is infectious!

Absolutely nothing!

Liz was an amazing host & looked after my niece & I like family. Delicious breakfasts & cheery good humour we had a wonderful stay.

Eliszabeth the host makes the whole experience phenomenal and her breakfast is not to be missed!!

The breakfast was very good. The location was outside Monaghan Town and was very quite. The garden was lit up with coloured lights all night. We were amazed at the highstandard of everything .

Nothing I want a refund for how I was treated and lied to by the false information for the room I booked

Owner and staff not polite and falsely advertised the room I chose Breakfast was pathetic microwave scrambled eggs and cold dry toast I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome at the property I booked for my dog which I made her stay in my car because I felt she wasn’t allowed Overcharging for basic rooms I want a refund and i would urge people to go elsewhere Disappointed to say the least

It was easily accessible, well located for our occasion. The property itself was impressive, had character, clean and very well presented. The breakfast that Elizabeth herself provided was 5 star alone….

I unfortunately didn’t book a bedroom with en-suite. We had a private bathroom but on the next floor above.
