What a wonderful place with beautiful decor, super friendly and helpful staff. Lovely meals and easy transfers. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wifi was not so good but we got by.

We were super impressed with our stay here. It really is a gem of a place in the most stunning location. The only thing you can hear is running water from the river below. Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, decor was stunning, food was great and they organised a fantastic trek up to a Berber village with a guide. Was our favourite place we stayed at in Morocco. Highly recommended

Le personnel est accueillant toujours souriant à leur tête Si Abderrahim. L’emplacement est magnifique, la décoration est superbe et tout est bien organisé. Les chiens et les chats présents dans l’auberge sont adorables et donnent l’impression d’être chez soi. Le lieu est vraiment convivial idéal pour les familles et les amis.

Le petit-déjeuner n’était pas très rassasiant : confiture, beurre et miel industriels, servis en dosettes individuelles, ce qui enlève un peu du charme du cadre naturel et de l’authenticité de la région. En revanche, la nourriture était bonne.

We stayed for 3 nights after a week in Marrakech. Lovely hotel and staff with good quality food. We arranged to go hiking with a guide for 2 of the days which was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Very remote and expensive to get to

I loved everything about Dar Zohra. As a solo traveller, the warm welcome and countless acts of kindness from Abdul, Hicham, Danielle, Zohra, and even their dogs and cats were a constant source of joy. The guesthouse itself is stunning — a beautiful building that blends perfectly with the breathtaking Ourika Valley landscape. It is finished to an exceptionally high standard and beautifully decorated with Berber textiles, pottery, and handcrafted artefacts, all thoughtfully used for guests to enjoy. The hikes arranged by the hotel were excellent, with outstanding guides who helped me discover the beauty and culture of this remarkable region. The food at Dar Zohra is exceptional. Every detail, from the menu to the service, is thoughtfully considered and beautifully executed. The service is attentive yet discreet, and I looked forward to every meal. What truly sets this place apart is its heart, which comes from the staff’s genuine delight in caring for their guests. I had accidentally left an item at my previous hotel, five hours away, and Hicham and Abdul somehow managed to coordinate with drivers travelling to and from Marrakech to have it back in my hands within a day. Danielle, the wonderful owner, told me to listen for the nightingale singing from the vegetation below the terrace from dusk until dawn. Hearing it for the first time was a real thrill. Danielle and Zohra also helped me choose a beautiful genuine vintage Azilal rug from their vast collection at a great price.

A beautiful place in a great part of Morocco. The rooms and the lobby are so intricately and thoughtfully decorated. Enjoyed every minute there :-)
