Onomichi Guest House Anago-no-Nedoko

It was quirky, down a narrow little alleyway with a beautiful garden and a stunning Japanese style room. The host was super helpful, spending half an hour of his time helping us to sort out our booking properly. The property was very easy to find, and since we arrived in the rain it was handy being in the arcade as we stayed dry on our 15 min walk from the station!

The staircase was very steep and narrow, we found this not a problem and quite fun, but maybe if you aren’t interested in lugging your suitcase up then be prepared!

It is a real Japanese house, the vibe is lovely, with tatami floors thin corridors and rice paper doors. Very big house in the middle.of a commercial street (not very well isolated tho)

So the staff is very stiff, not unpolite or anythign, just one doesn't feel very welcomed... looking at us like aliens. Beds I'm sorry but worst I slept on, even putting the 2 futons on that makeshift bedframe lined with tatami... both up and down in the twin beds (we were each in one 🛌) Very very loud next morning in the female dorm at 6am on a Sunday, no respect for the rest of us...
