Chill House safari resort

My stay with Hashan was incredible. He turned out not only to be a first class host, but I also ended up going on the safari with him and it was an absolute highlight of my trip. He went above and beyond to make the safari an unforgettable experience. His knowledge went very far and he loved sharing all he knew with every different animal we came across. What really stood out to me was how respectful he was towards the animals, giving them space and leaving it up to them if they wished to approach us. We noticed other tour guides chasing elephants or barricading their way while they were trying to get to the water on the other side. So for those looking for an ethical safari guide: Hashan is your man. He's also funny and entertaining, and he organised a delicious picnic at a beautiful view, which was a nice extra. Highly recommended!

I felt in love with the little puppy. (:

Lots of mold and insects, bad smell, the casings of the bed had been clean, but not the pillows and mattress itself. Only very small sheets to cover up. In fact I didn’t wanna sleep in this bed or use any of the pillows or sheets. The AC won’t stay on. Loose cables in the shower (dangerous). The shower jet is directed towards the toilet so that it was difficult to stand underneath and the toilet and toilet paper got completely wet.

Room was immaculate. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink. They kindly arranged a safari for us which and our guide was brilliant. Would go back

Firstly I would like to thank Hashan and his wife for being warm kind, and fantastic hosts. Good clean comfortable rooms with hot shower, and great breakfast provided Good location. Hashan took us to see the flying fox at dusk, and arranged for his safari the following morning. Would highly recommend his safari, for which he is so passionate and knowledgeable…you are guaranteed to have a great time, and see the elephants. Hashan, you are a great character..keep doing what you do! Would absolutely recommend, and would come back again.

Nothing to dislike

Einfache, saubere, aber für eine Nacht vollkommen ausreichende Zimmer mit Moskitonetz und AC. Hashan, der Besitzer war gleichzeitig ein toller Safariguide, der sich durch seine langjährige Erfahrung sehr gut auskannte und viel Interessantes zu berichten hatte. Vielen Dank dafür! Während der Safari wurden wir mit leckerem Essen versorgt. Der Nachbar hat ein sehr nettes Restaurant fürs Dinner.

Super safari

Остановились здесь на одну ночь, чтобы съездить на сафари. Понравилась атмосфера, место очень спокойное, ощущаешь единение с природой. Неподалеку есть кафе со вкусной едой. Само жилье простое, не роскошное, но уютное. Завтрак был большой и вкусный) хозяин заказал для нас трансфер в Эллу, это была комфортная чистая машина и приятный водитель, который останавливался, когда мы видели слонов у дороги и у водопада Равана, мы под впечатлением)

Не было розетки возле кровати, и с водонагревателем не получилось разобраться, пришлось мыться в прохладной воде, но за такую цену это мелочи)

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit im Mid Scenery Home Stay. Wir waren leider nur 2 Nächte dort. Das Zimmer ist einfach eingerichtet und hat alles, was man braucht. Die Terrasse ist toll mit sensationeller Aussicht. Man fühlt sich wie im Dschungel. Die Affen begrüßen dich am Morgen und sagen dir gute Nacht am Abend. Eresha ist die beste Köchin die wir in Sri Lanka hatten . Sie ist sooo freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie hat ein tolles Frühstück gemacht und ein noch besseres Abendessen gezaubert.
