Friendly and helpful people. Booked elephant safari with them very reasonable and saw lots of elephants. Great view of sunrise over Lion Rock from our balcony and lots of wildlife to see- eagle, toucan,peacocks, chipmunks, mongoose Homemade breakfasts Took tuk tuk to ancient city Polonnaruwa

Was a bit far out of town so needed to take a tuk tuk all the time to eat in the evening. Not too much of a problem as have pick me app

We had a great time at Darshani, Anu and his sister were adorable host and did everything to make our stay mémorable, drove us to massage, helped to catch the early morning (and only) bus, recommanded tuktuk and tours.

We checked in early because of our flight but the owners were so nice they prepared the room for us in 10 minutes. The room was really clean and the bathroom is big and clean. The view is to die for from the lake view room. They have a lot of lights on the walking path so no difficulty to walk at night. There are a lot of restaurants and pubs around the lodge very convenient and easy to commute. The lion rock and pidurangala rock is also very close to the lodge. Super easy to move. Owners are super nice they helped us with a lot of things. Anything you need, you can just ask them.

I was shown a double bed not two singles as I ordered. It was a lovely room with a balcony beautiful view . I ended up in a tired looking twin room it had no top sheets on which I didn't realise till I went to bed spent night with towel and my jacket on me. No view either . I was told it was room I booked . In no way was it a deluxe let alone a balcony with a view. I paid the price I was quoted . Later I received a message saying I never booked a deluxe and I was wrong . Sorry I was sold a rolls Royce and ended up with a mini . Either booking .com or the proprietor got this wrong not what I wanted I am disappointed . I have to say the breakfast was nice and the lady was very pleasant but I did not appreciate being messaged once I left that I was wrong . Hence my low score not professional.

Anu and his family are absolutely amazing they deserve more than 10/10. The room is spacious and clean with a balcony to enjoy the nature around. The breakfast was the best we had in our Sri Lanka trip with something new each day. They have their own tuk tuk which is very helpful to arrive to any place to visit. We went to Polonaruwa with Anu and he even explained us about the ancient city - like a tour. Totally recommend after have done the hiking, moving in tuk tuk makes all the diference. It really felt like home here and we would repeat.

Staff were amazing, so helpful! They drove us to some of the tourist attractions nearby and helped us plan activities. The room and surroundings look just as nice as the pictures. We were so happy just relaxing on the balcony and listening to the birds. The room was spacious, it had a mosquito net though we didn't notice bugs in the room. Had a desk and chair and hot shower too. Loads of nice restaurants within walking distance. It was quiet and peaceful. They also cooked us a nice breakfast every day. Highly recommend doing an elephant safari. They can help organise this
