"Ideal Homestay in Srinagar"

John's Homestay was ideally located, the family was so incredibly warm, attentive, and generous, and the room was one of the cleanest and most comfortable homestay rooms I have ever stayed at. Ali was particularly helpful and made the check-in process and acquiring an airport cab very easy. I was also feeling quite ill during my stay, and the hosts were very attentive to check in and also prepared a delicious, and nourishing meal that helped me recover. (Thank you so much, again!!!) For those considering the location, John's homestay is situated quite conveniently near Lal Chowk and Polo View Market, as well as to the airport. A short walk to the road makes acquiring a taxi, rickshaw, or uber very easy, and I even found it walkable to some cafes (Books & bricks, for ex). I also appreciated as a bonus, the very intense water pressure and water in the shower- a major, unexpected plus. I would definitely recommend this homestay to others!

Real home stay! We only met John and his son Ali, both made the stay very comfortable. Ali’s communication before, during and after the stay was great. Provided recommendations and car service to Gulmarg. Bed was comfortable with heated blanket and bathroom was exceptionally clean. Good breakfasts and nice to get to know the family

"A Home Away from Home"

Our stay at John's Homestay was so warm and heartwarming. The cozy comforts, like the reliable hot water and electric blankets, kept us toasty in the cool climate. But it was Ali's genuine hospitality that truly warmed our stay. He's a fantastic conversationalist and an invaluable resource for planning your Kashmiri adventures. I was impressed by his family's kindness too - when I couldn't find the key to my suitcase's lock, Ali's brother helped me break the lock. And there's a beautiful little tom cat, who is so friendly and cuddly! He was the cherry on top our cake during our stay here.  There's literally nothing bad I can say about this place. Everything was amazing! I recommend this place to all fellow travelers.
