The TollHouse

The proprietor was waiting for us at the gate. We had a delightful conversation with her. We had half the house which had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked.

We had no complaints about the Tollhouse.

Comfortable, quirky, clean and much larger than I expected. Great place to relax in the middle of our trip. Helpful, friendly hosts.

The location was great, clean and tidy. The hosts were lovely and engaging.

We liked the well stocked breakfast room; the view of the drip bridge; and the well appointed bathroom. The bed was wonderful for a good nights sleep

Only that the property wasn’t walking distance to Stirling old town

A lovely apartment in a cottage close to Stirling. Such a gorgeous country setting next to an historic stone bridge. Super quiet with happy birdsong in the morning. We loved the peace and quiet.

Nothing!

Cozy, inviting house, strong water, tv with Netflix. Amazing setting staying in the old toll collection house for the bridge built in 1850. It's a quiet side road but easy drive to shopping. Drive down the quiet lanes behind to discover beautiful history farmhouses. Very easy drive to here from Edinburgh airport.

Nothing to not like

This adorable suite of rooms has all the comforts of home in an idyllic setting within a few minutes’ drive or a healthy walk of Stirling. The hosts are absolutely lovely and clearly want you to love the charming property as much as they do. A comfortable, beautiful, historic, and friendly stay!

Not a thing, it was perfect.

Booked and paid online on the day but on arrival we were advised it had been double booked. Owner offered an alternative property in Doune which was £18 less so owner gave us £10 cash but I think she just made a mistake with her math, oh well. At least the Doune property was nice.

Can’t comment on Toll House.
