Really awesome stay

Our hostess went out of her way to make our stay very pleasant!

1.      The rooms are clean and spacious; 2.      Beautiful views

1. Lack of basic amenities and rude manager response for requests for clean towels: a. The premises had no washing machine and dryer (apparently "fully equipped"). b. So when we called the management for new towels (for use for the next day), we expected some fresh towels. The manager answered and said, "we do not clean or provide towels as the premises are self service". c. We proceeded to explain that as there is no washing machine or dryer, we cannot clean the towels and needed clean towels for the second night. d. The man proceeded in a highly arrogant and rude tone: "are the towels soiled". Implying that the towels supplied must last as long as the duration of your stay (unless you soil the towels). e. So we again explained that either the venue needs to provide clean towels daily or provide a washing machine to clean the towels. f. Eventually, the manager (very grudgingly and vocally aggressive said he would arrange new towels roughly at 7pm that night). g. What really boggles the mind, if we stayed for 7 days and didn't "soil" the towels (like our friend on the phone said must be done before they would clean them), we would be using the same towels for that time. Absolutely disgusting and shocking service delivery 2. Feeling unwelcomed and lack of contact: a. My wife and I try to go away once a month for date night and we have never had such poor service delivery and service by any hotel, self-service venue, or B&B; b. After going to Bookings.com, we decided to go to Jovali as it had a rating of over 9 on the Bookings.com rating score (for our one year anniversary); c. When we arrived, the owners were not present at the property on arrival, despite us arriving at our arrival time provided to the Jovali management (they requested for the same via Whatsapp). d. So we had to look around for anyone to open the premises.

Jovali offered me the best opportunity to rest and recharge my energy! The peacefulness, nature, animals and exceptional scenery were truly therapeutic. I thank Tim and Johan for their attention to detail and looking after my comfort. Even the weather played along great ;-)

Well first the hosts was amazing, incredible friendly and warm. They went above and beyond and heroically rescued me when I got stuck in a ditch on the end of a cliff on my way to my destination :D I loved their complimentary cherry. Loved the kitchen and appreciated the quality of the pillows on the bed as well as a thicker blanket being available The coffee machine and complementary coffee were amazing. So was the complementary cake. The room was clean and I appreciated its charm The room was well stocked with everything I needed and was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

Getting there with just GPS was terrible. I lost cellphone network several times and got horribly lost a few times. I'd recommend that any solo traveller who is not familiar with the area use a physical map when going there and make the trip during daylight. A sign on one of the main roads would have also really helped. Also there was no phone charger plug point near the bed. Had to unplug a lamp to be able charge near my bed.

We loved everything All the small touches such as the carrot cake, sweeties on the bed, rusks and amenities in the bathroom. Johan is a fantastic host. The view is amazing. Thank you so much Johan

Everything! Immaculately kept facilities both inside and out. Absolutely every comfort you could think of and more is provided and beautifully presented Peaceful with fantastic views and very close to town. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

It's abit of a bumpy Rd the last little bit.

Lovely room with all amenities. Beautiful location with lovely views away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

Poor internet connection to our mobile phones. Lack of interaction with hosts.
