"Luxury mixed with history."

First of all, the owners Ria-Lize and Jaco, are the perfect hosts for a guesthouse. Their hospitality was out of this world. Avonsrus is an carefully restored old farm house (with a beautiful history behind it) into a modern guest house. The decor is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere give a sense of peace. I wish we could stay longer. Ria-Lize even told us on arrival about Kamkiri for dinner and quickly arranged for us a table. We were fetched by the restaurant’s boat which took us across the river and brought back to our car after dinner. The breakfast I ordered for the next morning was big and tasty. A real farm breakfast for the long day and road ahead of us. Thank you Ria-Lize. We will be back someday.
