You wouldn't notice there's actually a homestay inside since you have to come thru a restaurant/bakery but it was quite enjoyable. Rooms felt really private and quiet. The room and bed was really comfy and spacious. Location is unbeatable on the heart of Candidasa.

Upgraded us to a larger room free of charge due to the other room still being occupied. Nice location off the busy road, serve good food that was cheaper than the warungs in town.

The power outlets didn’t work

"A nice relaxing place close to the sea and also lovely walks up into the hills."

9.0

Nice comfortable bed with nice furniture. One of the best bathrooms with a nice shelving unit to put things on. The shower was just a spout though and not shower head. A great location and managed some lovely walks up into the hills. Lots of footpatchs to explore. A lovely walk is to head up the road until reaching a sports pitch on your right. Follow road to end and turn left. keep going until reaching a short dirt path through trees. You come out on bend where left is signposted Dempaser and right to Amed. Keep going up and then there is a sign saying 'dangerous road'. Just follow it up till you reach the top. There is a sign on left saying, Tanabu and Great Views. Follow this and you will reach a small house with fanatstic views from a large flat area. If the owner is there he will welcome you and offer refreshments. I was then taken through his narrow kitchen and out the other side and had a fantastic tour of all the .lovely rice fields. Well worth seeing. Coming back, I deviated to the right, near the bottom of dangerous road and ended up going down to a track, which lead in through the top of the old city. There are plenty of other tracks to explore though.

One of the very few places that did not offer a nice fruit salad as well as another course for breakfast They did give a really tiny fruit salad to anybody who did not like eggs. Not really any choice, as just an egg and bread most times. Other than that all fine and owners very friendly. ............................................................................. Be extra vigilant near dogs. Bali has a huge rabies problem. I was bitten by a mad dog that just ran up behind me, without any warning or barking, in Lovina and sank its teeth into my right ankle. Needed a course of three vaccines. Lots of problems getting them and took four hospitals before getting the second vaccine, as had run out, due to so many people getting dog bites. Unable to get the third on Lombok as did not have it. First opportunity when back in Bali was go to Amlapura Hospital, as closest at the time. However unlike the other hospitals this was huge. Avoid it if you can. No more than a five minute wait at others but here it was two hours and extremely busy Before getting my first vaccine I had to register with the government office and was assured I could go to any hospital and no charge whatsoever, as the government feels a responsibility to tourist and is attempting to get on top of the problem. I was not charged for first two vaccines at smaller hospitals. Amlapura said the vaccine was free but a small administration fee. Could not tell me what that was? After being given the vaccine I was presented with a bill for 200,000 IDR and told the vaccine was free but this was for administering the vaccine. I am sure this is against the Government directive and I should not have been charged as I was not charged anything at the other two. If you do need a hospital for any reason try smaller ones, where much easier to speak to people, who have more time, without the huge long waiting queues.

"A perfect, affordable stay in Candidasa"

10.0

Location was perfect, away from the noisy main road, close to the paddy fields. Breakfast was delicious. Wifi was fast. The room was affordable. Like the small swimming pool for a dip after a hot day.

Wish it had a bidet.

Super late check-in & Ayu met us smiling. Accommodation is comfortable. Gardens, statues, temples, fish ponds, cute little dog & all staff are beautiful. Breakfast fresh from Ayus Baker's oven.

Everything was good, budget accommodation & great value for money.
