Very cheap for location

only booked because the internet photo had a guest house rosette outside so thought it was inspected There was no rosette didn't like anything about the house booking was a con.

False internet photo room very poorly cleaned shower dirty and old brown towels left on rail.No tea or coffee in room,No window locks (ground floor) poor curtains very light at night major road outside

Too much noises in the middle of the night(I go to work next day and I can’t get rest over the night) Very dirty bathroom,disgusting.I will attached some pictures(real and website).

Quiet location.

More information re accommodation when we booked, eg. 3/4 hour walk from railway station. TV was so small. Any more than 2 nights would have been too long. Entry door took figuring out.

the host allowed us a very early check in. their communication skills were very good. the facilities were functional. most surfaces were well cleaned, but a couple of out of the way places the cleaner had forgotten, and to be fair i did not tell the host until i checked out, they probably would have cleaned them immediately as their communication was prompt. on the one hand, it didn’t smell like strong cleaning chemicals, but on the other hand the hallway did smell like something - not unpleasant, it smelled kind of like biscuits. because of how shabby the place looked though, i would have preferred to smell cleaning chemicals!

i found the interior of the property to be shabby and depressing. the carpet in the upstairs hall had iron burn marks on it. poor sound insulation, i could hear guests coughing and talking in their rooms when i was in my room. and not just the room next to mine but other rooms. there are clearly people who live there long term, which feels like an awkward match for short term travellers paying that amount of money even if the market demand supports the kind of price point we paid. the wifi was very good in the early morning but stopped being usable at all after 10am, presumably because many other guests woke up to also use the internet.
