Possibly our favourite place we stayed on this holiday. Stunning view on the river, loved the hammocks

The room itself was big and spacious... the hammock is a nice idea but mosquitoes are of course a small concern...

It's very far from the main harbour port and all the restaurants... I didn't meet the owners other than in check in and they spoke very little English so I couldn't arrange a moto or even a ride into the main island - although I did this easily and independently with some other locals in the village a few hundred meters away. No breakfast either means this was very very expensive compared to many other options... the peace and the quiet were great though

Location was great and the views over the Mekong from the balcony were great. It was raining a lot so we didn't get to see much in the way of sunsets which was disappointing but that's just the time of year unfortunately. No food was being served as the restaurant was shut so we didn't get to try any food. The hired bikes from the hotel were good quality and reasonably priced. Bed was comfortable (although still quite hard) and two pillows each were provided. It was nice to have a fridge and kettle in the room. Aircon and WiFi both worked very well.

Construction work next door - the owner is building another hotel next door and the construction work starts at 8am ish and finishes at 5pm ish pretty much every day. This noise will probably continue until well into early 2026 as the new building was only at the foundation stage as at end of July 2025. We picked this place specifically for the views and the expected peace and quiet but the construction noise totally spoilt it for us - the noise will most likely get much worse as the building work progresses. The other thing we didn't like was the lack of sound proofing between rooms - the walls are thin and the balconies are partially open so you can see and hear other people next door (and smell their cigarette smoke). We had to ask for water and toilet paper on the second day although on the 3rd day it was brought to us without us having to request it. Toilet makes weird bubbling/sucking noises when any of the next door toilets are flushed!

That was a pleasant stay, just on the bord of Mekong. Staff made the difference, very helpful, friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend the place primarily for the hospitality of the staff.

The bathroom was kind of basic... but it was spacy

Nothing to dislike! This is a very nice place to stay with wonderful staff and decent food. We really enjoyed the views from the hammocks and the bed was very comfortable. AC in room was effective. Nice quiet location. One of our favourite places with have stayed in SEA.

Our room was very spacious and clean, with the most amazing balcony right on the river, complete with hammocks. Watching the sunset from our balcony each evening was truly delightful. The island is really quiet but has plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We hired bicycles at the guesthouse and visited 2 fabulous waterfalls and Don Khon's busier neighbour Don Det. The staff were always friendly and helpful and arranged our onwards journey right from our balcony! We loved our stay here and would love to return.

The hosts are exceptional and helped with all arrangements. Room had a great view and was very clean. Breakfast was good and very reasonably priced.
