Room was good, clean and I liked the two hammocks.

Location is not very central.

Felt it was overpriced for Laos

I loved everything about the room, the beds were comfy, the view fantastic, warm cosy lights, big room, and the street where the guesthouse is located is my favorite in both Don Det and Don Khone. The host was the sweetest person with the most genuine smile that made our day. Although there were no laundry service available in low season, there is a lady that will clean your clothes 100 meters from the guesthouse. Similarly, you can eat breakfast around the guesthouse at 50 meters. Bikes can also be rented direclty there.

- At night dogs barked the first night in front of the guesthouse but when we told the host, he chased them the second night and we had no problem the second night. - The water was cold but this is the case for all guesthouses on the island

The guesthouse is fantastic. Nice to have the rental service offered.

Breakfast option was not available at my time of stay, but plenty of breakfast option available nearby.

If you pay in the local currency KIP they gave you an inconvenient exchange rate as they tell you they need to pay booking fees. Terrible experience!!!!! Laos currency is KIP not USD!!!

Location was lovely. Room was spacious, clean, wonderful aspect looking directly onto the river. Quiet enough as can be in SE Asia with roosters, boats and even cows waking us. But that’s ok much nicer than noisy people! Staff were friendly. Food we ate in their restaurant was good. Not as good as other places along such as The Orange One & Nanas.

I booked a double room over 4 months prior but on arrival they had someone else in the room. I tried to explain that if someone booked after us they should have the twin rooms but I think they thought whoever was there first should get it. It was extremely hot. Yes we expected that however the air con was completely inadequate. There was no coolness coming into the room. We generally have a siesta time in mid afternoon when the heat is up (don’t get me wrong we are from QLD in Australia and are used to hot humid weather but when you’ve paid extra for aircon!). The manager was very nice and tried to tell us it was because it was so hot. We visited a friends unit and their air con worked a treat. Our point exactly. That’s why we had a room with air con! It either needs a thorough clean (manager had it cleaned on day two- but didn’t do anything) regassing, or a new system. Completely pointless it was nearly hotter inside than out. No excuse. If you charge for air con it should work. We even changed rooms for the last night but no difference. Overnight the room would cool down and the air con worked better. But what’s the point of it if it won’t cool when it’s hot? Recommend you stay somewhere with a pool. We swam in the Mekong several times but that wasn’t always that pleasant. Plenty of options for breakfast as it wasn’t included

A lovely little guest house on the quieter Don Khon island but close to the bridge so with easy access to Don Det. The rooms were huge with comfortable beds, good air con and a nice balcony with hammocks We rented bicycles from a nearby store for our stay (60 pence per day!) and cycled around both islands easily. A peaceful and chilled part of the world

the room wasn’t cleaned during our 4 night stay. Not a huge issue as it was a relatively short stay but did mean that we had to keep asking for toilet rolls etc
