GBLocation was nice for a few days.
Cleanliness of accomodation and needs a complete refurbishment. Shower curtain was black at the bottom. Furniture was very old. I raised an issue with the owner and was offered a free night if I booked further nights however, I didn't want to return.
USTruly loved my stay here. It's in such a relaxing location! The unit itself was spacious and well appointed, comfortable and calm. The hosts and their family were some of the kindest people I've met and they went out of their way to be sure I had everything I needed. 🥰 The river and the walk along the river were so peaceful -- exactly what I needed for my solo retreat. In addition to the spacious flat, there is also a lovely cabin overlooking the river and a cute little summer house that guests are allowed to use (on a first come first served basis, but I never had to wait for a turn.) An absolutely wonderful place and one I hope to return to! Also, the Scottish Borders are beautiful in every way and worthy of a visit!
There was nothing I didn't like. A perfect stay!
DEThe nature there is beautiful and the vacation home has a really nice garden to enjoy the surroundings during the day and to do some stargazing at night. The hosts were very kind and generous. The dishwasher was an unexpected but welcome bonus. FYI for dog owners: There is no fence around the house, so it is not possible to let your dog roam around in the garden unattended. However, a nice path into the woods and by the river to walk the dog.
