La-Vira Beach Villa

This was one of our favorite stays in Sri Lanka . Clean nice room on the beach with sea view and access to a beautiful Sandy beach . Owners speak English very well and helps you with anything you need ! I wish we could stay longer there

La-Vira is a family run guesthouse right on a quiet section of the beach. The owners were super friendly and helpful. Sun beds with cushions right in front of the place. Lovely swims in strong surf and delicious breakfasts. Well definitely return one day!

My stay at La Vira Beach Villa was extraordinary. Staying right at the beach is always the best feeling to me. The rooms are clean, have air condition and just everything you need. Something that is especially nice compared to other bathrooms ins Sri Lanka is that there is a little wall between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so you don’t end up flooding the whole room like it often is the case in other places in Sri Lanka. The atmosphere in this guest house has been the most comforting and welcoming during my whole stay in this country(5 weeks in total). All of the family member speak perfect English which makes communication very easy. During my one week at La Vira Beach Villa I got a little cold and Lankika(the owner) just took so good care of me like she was my mum. If I would have to pick a place to be sick again it would definitely be there! There are sunbeds at the beach and I especially liked that it was bit further away from all the busy places closer to the Center of Hikkaduwa. The host also offers Breakfast and Dinner on request. But there are also plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. All in all it was the best place I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Can’t wait to come back!

Sehr liebenswerte und hilfsbereite Gastgeber

Die Familie ist unglaublich freundlich. Wenn man lust hat, sich mit ihnen zu unterhalten, machen sie dies sehr gerne, sie haben jedoch eine aehr abgenehme Art, bei der man auch mit einem winken vorbeigehen darf, ohne jedesmal lange zu sprechen. Viraj konnte uns jedoch auch viel spannendes zur Kultur und Geschichte von Sri Lanka erzäheln, was wir sehr gerne angehört haben. Das Essen war auch super und wir durften uns auf dem Menü unser Morgenessen aussuchen und vorbestellen, welches auf die gewünschte Zeit und super lecker parat war. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und alles in allem war es einfach super und wir können es jedem empfehlen. Perfekt um am Strand rum zu liegen, einmal ins Surfen zu schnuppern oder auf dem nahe gelegenen See Kayak zu fahren.
