Lovely comfortable little house with tatami and futon. I enjoyed a bath and was able to make some food in the kitchen.

I would have loved to use a proper ceramic bowl or plate for my dinner rather than a plastic plate!

A casa é linda, confortável, com quarto grande, sala integrada com a cozinha e um bom banheiro. Você dorme em tatames, mas o anfitrião, Johnny, deixa também colchonetes para quem quiser. A casa fica bem na entrada da vila onde fica o Porto de Honmura, quase em frente a uma das casas que viraram instalações de arte contemporânea, e a uma curta caminhada do New Museum of Art. Vale a pena alugar com eles bicicletas elétricas que te permitem conhecer toda a ilha.

Great location in Honmura. This is the side of the island you want to be on for the art, and you’re only 5 min from the Honmura ferry. It’s an authentic Japanese house with sliding screens. So much more spacious than you normally get here. It has everything you need. Johnny, the host, was incredibly helpful in every way. Highly recommended.

Great location - only 5 mins walk from the Honmura Port n the bus stop is a couple of mins walk from the property. The host Johnny was extremely helpful, with restaurant recommendations n making the reservations as well as advice on getting around the island. Made us feel very welcome :)
