Guest house Babaka

The couple running Guest House Babaka are lovely people. They were warm and made us feel welcome. Although we didn't have any languages in common, it was nothing that couldn't be solved with the help of Google Translate. After reading reviews about the food, we did ask for dinner. Dinner was an incredible spread of food with delicious homemade wine. All the food was delicious. The terrace was a comfortable place to hang out and there were two adorable dogs who liked to come by. The location was great. It's about a 5 minute walk to the center, which we knew. It's uphill going to town, but totally doable if you enjoy walking. Super quiet. We slept great. There really wasn't anything we didn't like. It was exactly what I was looking for, which was a simple homestay rather than a hotel. To that end, it feels like you're staying in an extension of someone's home, although the space we stayed in is very much separate from the house and pretty private. It's perfect if you're going in with those expectations, which we were. :)

One thing to note is there was no signage where we entered. I'm not sure if there was signage elsewhere - I know there was another space we didn't see. Fortunately our driver knew where we were going and which house. It is correctly marked on Google maps though.

Loved this place. Great location and the host was exceptional. BBQ for dinner with lots of dishes to accompany it. Also had great wine too. Breakfast was good too in the morning. All round very happy and would recommend.

We didn't actually stay at babaka, they had overbooked so took us to a guest house down the road. It was pleasant, the women was lovely and made a simple breakfast. The room was good value for money. No fills accommodation, but room included private bathroom

Very friendly owners! They made us super tasty diner with delicious red wine. The place was very calm and cosy.

The only disadvantage was that it was a bit far from the center.

The hosts were just amazing, super sweet people! Al together it was the best guest experience we got to have in Georgia. Exceptional breakfast, lots of freshly prepared, local things to try. I would like to go back one day:)

The owner of the place is a living proof of the famous Georgian hospitality! The place is close to the city center, calm and clean. Wine provided by our Host was georgianny delicious, and even after one sip of it I felt a Georgia in my heart. And thus let it stay.

Great breakfast and we had the place to ourselves! The staff were friendly and they let us check in early! The place is very quiet.

The hot water supply seemed to come and go and the beds were not super comfortable but for one night it's okay. We couldn't find the hair dryer either. Price is reasonable but comparable to other places in Sighnaghi where you are closer to the town and have a view of the wall and lower plains.

Quiet neighbourhood. Parkingspot on street. Breakfast was nice. Quite good for a short stay.

Room needs a couple of chairs, closet and table. Bed sheets seemed clean but had a small smell on them - probably from water or old washing mashine. Distance to the center is not long but quite uphill.

The owners are so nice and welcomed us with open arms! The guesthouse is located in a calm area, so it's not super central but within walking distance. The breakfast was good, and we bought homemade wine as well, which was very good too!
